We actively participate in traditional events held in the region, such as the dedication of the decorative Yamakasa “Solaria-yama” at the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival, and the operation of the “Nishitetsu Flower Float” at the Hakata Dontaku Port Festival (Fukuoka) and Wasshoi Hyakuman Summer Festival (Kitakyushu).

On May 3 every year, the “Nishitetsu Dontaku Corps,” composed mainly of newly hired employees, parades through Dontaku Square.
In addition, on May 3 and 4, the “Nishitetsu Flower Float” participates in the parade carrying elementary school children selected from among the applicants.
Held annually in October at the Chikushi Railyard, this event opens the factory facilities to the public and includes demonstrations of train maintenance, a driver's cab experience, a conductor's experience, and a place where visitors can watch a train being cleaned by an automatic car-wash machine from inside the train.
For children, we offer fun events such as digital stamp rallies, miniature trains, and commemorative photo shoots wearing uniforms.

In cooperation with the Fukuoka Prefectural Board of Education, the Uminonakamichi Marine Ecology Science Museum holds this event twice a year for special-needs schools, enabling children who rarely have a chance to visit the sea or an aquarium to have fun interacting with marine creatures.

Now in its 29th year in FY2024, the “Nishitetsu Bus & Train Painting Contest for Everyone” is held with the aim of familiarizing children with Nishitetsu buses and trains and creating opportunities for them to express their dreams for the future and the future of Nishitetsu. We invited children to submit their works based on their dream Nishitetsu buses and trains that they would like to ride in the future, their favorite Nishitetsu buses and trains, bus and train drivers, and other subjects. The children’s unique artworks were exhibited at Zephyr, the first floor of Solaria Plaza, from Wednesday, October 30 to Monday, November 4.

Every year, Nishitetsu Group employees and their families participate as volunteers in the "Love Earth Cleanup" (beach cleanup) held at Momochi Seaside Park and Fukuma Beach.
Participants pick up garbage scattered on the beach to clean it up for all beach users.
In addition, each of the Nishitetsu Group's business sites regularly conducts neighborhood cleanups to help beautify the environment.
The Nishitetsu Group will continue to actively engage in activities in cooperation with the government and local residents.

“Food Education Classes” by Nishitetsu Hotels
Nishitetsu Hotels hosts “Food Education Classes”, where both adults and children can enjoy learning about food.
In the Food Education Class 2025, participants can attend seminars led by local government and corporate representatives on topics such as healthy eating, choosing locally produced and consumed foods, and how to select fresh vegetables. The program also includes table etiquette lessons to teach proper dining manners in a hotel setting.

The Group has installed AEDs (automated external defibrillators) at major stations on the Tenjin-Omuta and Kaizuka lines, bus centers, office buildings, commercial facilities, hotels, and other highly public locations.
