We, together with our Business Partners and others in our supply chain, will contribute to the sustainable growth and development of society by not only providing safe and secure services, but also working to solve social issues through our procurement activities by conducting socially and environmentally responsible procurement activities in accordance with the following policy.

  1. Safety
    Comply with safety-related laws and regulations, ensure public safety, and maintain work procedures and environments that prioritize safety.
  2. Ensure quality, fair prices, and stable supply
    Establish a stable supply system with superior quality, fair prices, and on-time delivery.
  3. Compliance with contracts
    Comply with contracts and carry them out in good faith.
  4. Environmental considerations
    Comply with environmental laws and regulations, and promote environmentally friendly business activities.
  5. Consideration for human rights, working environments, and health and safety
    Comply with labor-related laws and regulations, including prohibition of child labor and forced labor; create safe and pleasant working environments; and respect the human rights of all people.
  6. Compliance with laws, regulations, social norms and the like
    Properly understand and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and social norms in the countries and regions in which we operate.
  7. Cutting off relations with antisocial forces
    Sever ties, if any, with forces and groups that threaten social order and sound business activities.
  8. Thorough information security
    Maintain strict and appropriate management of confidential and personal information.
  9. Build trust
    Build a relationship of trust through good communication with our Group for mutual sustainable development.

Request to Our Business Partners

 

 We ask for your understanding of the purpose and content of the “Nishitetsu Group Basic Procurement Policy” and your cooperation with the following in your dealings with the Nishitetsu Group, including with our supply chain, such as our partner companies.

  1. Fair and equitable transactions
    In selecting suppliers, we will take into account compliance, environmental considerations, quality, price, corporate credibility, and other factors in a fair and equitable manner based on economic rationality
  2. Pursuit of safety and security
    In addition to placing the highest priority on ensuring safety, we will conduct responsible procurement activities by emphasizing excellent quality, fair prices, stability of supply, on-time delivery, sufficient after-sales care, and compliance with contracts and faithful performance, in order to provide products and services that customers can use with peace of mind
  3. Environmental considerations
    Through procurement activities in harmony with the environment, we will reduce our environmental impact and help to realize a recycling-oriented society and control global warming.
  4. Consideration for human rights, working environment, and health and safety
    We will conduct procurement activities with respect for human rights and with consideration for the working environment and health and safety.
  5. Compliance with laws, regulations, social norms and the like
    We do not seek any profit from violations of the law or unethical behavior. We will correctly understand and comply with laws and regulations, industry standards, and social norms related to procurement activities.
  6. Cutting off relations with antisocial forces
    We will take a firm stand against any forces or groups that threaten social order or the sound business activities of the Group, and will not respond to demands for unjustified benefits or threats, and will sever all relationships with such forces or groups if any are found.
  7. Thorough information security
    We manage confidential and personal information strictly and appropriately.
  8. Build trust
    Through good communication, we aim to build relationships of trust with our business partners and achieve mutual growth and development.

Based on our goal of contributing to the sustainable growth and development of society through our procurement activities, we took a questionnaire survey of our business partners. The survey checked in on the progress of their initiatives regarding the matters we have requested based on the Nishitetsu Group Basic Procurement Policy.

Survey results and future actions

We confirmed that the business partners who responded are generally handling all items appropriately. We will provide feedback on the survey results to our business partners, support a number of them in improving initiatives, and continue to work on promoting sustainable procurement throughout the entire supply chain.
