Realizing Fukuoka as the Most Creative City in Asia

ONE FUKUOKA BLDG.

The ONE FUKUOKA BLDG., which opened in April 2025, was developed under the concept “Creative Intersection Meets Different Ideas.” The building supports Fukuoka City’s initiative to become an “Infectious Disease-Resilient City” and to accommodate high-spec offices for the “International Financial Hub” initiative driven by a collaboration between industry, academia, and government. Additionally, it strives to be an environmentally friendly, large-scale complex building of the highest standard in Japan, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. We will significantly advance Fukuoka City’s “Tenjin Big Bang Project” and work toward realizing the vision set by the Tenjin Meiji-Dori Urban Development Council to create Asia’s most creative business district.

Building a Sustainable Transportation Network

Promote Mobility as a Service (MaaS) initiatives

We will actively participate in “Kyushu MaaS,” in which Kyushu is united in promoting MaaS measures, and promote MaaS initiatives that transcend various frameworks (public/private, business-to-business, etc.). The aim is to continuously provide seamless, high-density mobility services that match the usage scenarios of our customers.

In addition, we will continue to develop businesses and services in the “mobility x other industries” sector. This includes providing “rental condominiums with mobility services,” a service that began in April 2024.

On-Demand Bus “Knowroute”

“Knowroute” is an AI-driven on-demand bus service designed to quickly transport passengers along their desired routes at their preferred times. Once a passenger makes a reservation, artificial intelligence (AI) calculates the optimal route, offering a new form of public transportation tailored to individual mobility needs. In addition to its hardware capability of learning efficient routes by accumulating usage data, the service boasts user-friendly features such as app-based ride requests and the ability to flexibly set meeting points (pickup/drop-off stations) for easy accessibility. The Nishitetsu Group is currently conducting pilot operations in two areas within Fukuoka City (Island City District and Iki-Minami District).

Building Communities Where Diverse Generations Coexist

Next-generation community town “Asumi”

At Mikunigaoka Station on the Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line, we are developing condominiums, senior residences, detached houses, and park-and-ride facilities. In addition to being a development area where residents can lead a car-free lifestyle, the keyword for the area is “connected town,” in which we foster a vibrant multi-generational community while ensuring a safe and secure living environment. This comprehensive town development focuses on town management, emphasizing cooperation with residents to maintain, develop, and improve the community.

Senior condominiums “Suncarna”

The Group operates senior residences under the “Suncarna” brand and offers “Carnas” housing with services for the elderly. We strive to provide homes that meet diverse needs and adapt to the changing living environments of our customers.

Revitalizing the Region by Uncovering Local Tourist Attractions along the Railway Lines

Tourist trains

We operate specialty tourist trains, such as THE RAIL KITCHEN CHIKUGO, which offers a journey to savor local flavors, the Dazaifu sightseeing train “Tabito,” and the Yanagawa sightseeing train “Suito.”
By showcasing the tourism resources and unique attractions of areas along the Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line through these themed trains, we aim to revitalize and enhance the value of the surrounding regions.

Traditional Japanese house lodging business

We are conducting a lodging project using traditional Japanese houses in the area surrounding Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, in collaboration with Dazaifu City, local residents, and other businesses. Although Dazaifu City, located along our railway line, is one of Fukuoka’s leading tourist destinations and attracts numerous visitors from both Japan and abroad, it faces challenges such as a shortage of accommodations and dining establishments, resulting in shorter average stays and a high number of day-trip visitors.

Through this project, we are renovating existing traditional houses for use as lodging and dining facilities, while also collaborating with nearby attractions, including Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Our goal is to create new points of interest, increase visitor stay duration, enhance the Dazaifu brand, and further boost the area’s appeal.
