In April 2005, the Nishitetsu Group established the “Nishitetsu Group Environmental Policy,” and has been promoting Group-wide environmental management under its promotion system ever since.
Each department and Group company has formulated an environmental impact reduction plan and is continuously working to reduce its environmental impact.
Nishitetsu Group Environmental Policy (established April 28, 2005)
We recognize that preserving the global environment is an important issue, and through business activities that take place in harmony with the environment, we will reduce our environmental impact and help to bring about a recycling-oriented society and the control of global warming.
(1) Raise environmental awareness
(2) Ensure proper understanding and compliance with laws and regulations
(3) Efficiently use resources and energy, and reduce emissions
(4) Promote the use of energy-efficient public transportation
(5) Provide products and services with environmental quality
Based on the above policy, we will continuously improve our environmental efforts.
Management System
While environmental managers and promoters from each Nishitetsu division and Nishitetsu Group company promote initiatives based on environmental impact reduction plans, the ESG Promotion Committee has been established as a forum for discussion, deliberation, and progress management of matters related to environmental management for the entire Group.

Compliance with the Revised Act on the Rational Use of Energy
Nishitetsu and some of our Group companies are designated as specified business operators or specified transportation operators under the Act on the Rational Use of Energy, and prepare and submit medium- to long-term plans and periodic reports every year.
Compliance with the Revised CFC Emission Control Law
The CFC Emission Control Law, which went into effect in April 2015, makes it mandatory to inspect commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, record maintenance history, and report the amount of CFC leakage.
In addition to ensuring compliance with the law, we and our Group companies are working to prevent CFC leakages and reduce environmental impact.

Responses to CDP
The Nishitetsu Group has been submitting responses since FY2021.
