Transportation Business

Bus Business

Nishitetsu Group runs two kinds of bus services: public transportation buses and tourist buses.

Our public transportation buses consist of common-route buses that play a vital role in helping local people get around on a day-to-day basis, and highway buses with direct inter-city links, with a focus on Kyushu.

Our tourist buses are run by our group company Nishitetsu Kanko Bus Co.,Ltd., providing services that live up to the demands of local communities and also those of passengers from outside Fukuoka Prefecture.

We run two separate railway lines: Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line and Kaizuka Line.

The Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line starts at Fukuoka (Tenjin) and runs 74.8 km to Omuta, passing through such cities as Futsukaichi, Kurume and Yanagawa, a journey time of approximately 63 minutes (in the case of express trains). In addition to the main line, there are two branch lines: Dazaifu Line linking Futsukaichi with Dazaifu, and Amagi Line linking Miyanojin with Amagi.

The Kaizuka Line starts at Kaizuka (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka), and runs to Shingu-machi, connecting with the Hakozaki Line on Fukuoka City Subway.
